踏板に隠れる超薄型サイズ!デザイン階段の制振にFloor Mateが役立ちます

ACHIEVEMENTS Ultra-thin size that can be hidden in the treads! Floor Mate helps damping design staircases!

vibration suppression equipment

This is an example of vibration control measures for staircases. With the ultra-thin TMD “Floor Mate”, we were able to provide vibration control without compromising the design of the staircase.

issue

Recently, you may have seen stylish steel staircases in buildings. In exchange for the slim appearance of these design staircases, vibration during walking is often a problem. Depending on the magnitude of the vibration, not only the person standing in the middle of the staircase, but also the person walking down the staircase may feel the shaking. When designing such stairs, it is a good idea to consider vibration control devices (such as TMDs). However, the appearance of the staircase can be spoiled if it is attached to something extra. Yacmo's Floor Mate is ultra-thin and can be installed completely concealed under the stair treads.

counter-measure

In this case study, four units of FloorMate (30 kg type) are installed. As shown in the photo, they are installed in a gap under the treadle plate and are not visible at all.

result

The following figure shows the measured results of FloorMate's effectiveness. The vibration acceleration generated at resonance was reduced from 43.1 cm/s2 to 13.9 cm/s2. This means that the feeling of the person walking on the floor has been improved from “clearly felt” to “slightly felt” level.
Since staircases are more like passageways than living spaces, the issue in evaluating vibration problems is whether or not the users (pedestrians) themselves are uncomfortable with staircase vibration. Therefore, we usually evaluate the vibration problem by applying the standard values of the pedestrian bridge design guidelines (orange dotted line) as shown below.
The world of fashion is constantly changing, and it can be difficult to keep up. But there are a few key trends that have emerged in recent years. One of these trends is the increasing popularity of sustainable fashion. This means that more and more people are choosing to buy clothes that are made from eco-friendly materials and produced in an ethical way. Another trend is the rise of "athleisure." This is a style of clothing that blends athletic wear with everyday fashion, allowing people to be comfortable and stylish at the same time. Finally, we're seeing a growing interest in vintage and secondhand clothing. This trend is driven by a desire for unique pieces and a rejection of fast fashion. These are just a few of the many trends that are shaping the fashion industry today.“Future Pedestrian Bridges p120 Chapter 4.25”: edited by Japan Steel Construction Association (Giho-do Publishing Co., Ltd.)”
