Dual AMD (active mass damper for high-rise buildings)

DUAL AMD

This device is used to reduce environmental vibration in the horizontal (XY2 directions), such as wind vibration, in high-rise buildings. The system absorbs and suppresses horizontal vibrations of the object by sensing the horizontal vibrations of the object with an attached acceleration sensor and tuning the vibration mass to the vibrations. AMD for vertical vibration isthis way (direction close to the speaker or towards the speaker)

forte

  • One unit operates in two directions, XY and Y
Two-stage system allows operation in X and Y directions
2 drives each in X and Y direction, changeable to 1 drive axis depending on the output required.
  • stroke
Realizes an unprecedentedly large stroke of ±950 mm for a ball screw type
  • Large mass weight of 100t
    50t to 100t
  • workability
Each tier has a two-part frame for easy lifting and transport.
  • weather resistance (e.g. in building material)
Linear guides and ball screws with bellows, seals and surface treatment
Covers and seals on motors and bearings
  • maintainability
Jack-up facilities, etc. (easily maintained on rooftops without cranes)
  • Exclusive area and height
Main unit only: 7.7 x 7.9 m (including maintenance space)
Height: 3.15m (for 100t concrete weight)
    Control panel: 0.8 x 6.4 m

structure

elements

It consists of a vibrating weight, frame (bottom: fixed, middle: movable), electromagnetic brake, servo motor, acceleration sensor, ball screw, linear guide, and control panel.

principle

Vibration of the vibration control target (floor, etc.) is monitored by acceleration sensors, control calculations are performed in real time to reduce the vibration, and the actuator drives the vibration mass.
The program is also tuned to match the characteristics of the measured floor and other items.
